Deep Time Walk (DTW) hosted by CCA Korean-Speaking Community Pod

Date: April 25 2026 9 AM Korea Standard Time (4 hours)

Location: Yeouido Park, Seoul, South Korea

How long is our story, really?

A Deep Time Walk is not just a walk. It is a journey through 4.6 billion years of Earth’s history in 4.6 kilometers — where every step represents one million years. As we walk together, slowing down, pausing, and noticing, questions begin to emerge:

Where am I in this vast story of Earth?
What am I truly connected to?
What choices am I making now?

Deep Time Walk is an immersive experience developed by ecologist Stephan Harding. It invites participants to walk 4.6 km as a way of journeying through the Earth’s 4.6 billion-year history, bringing a sense of deep time into embodied awareness. Rooted in systems thinking and a living Earth perspective, the walk helps us reconnect with the more-than-human world. Rather than simply learning about Earth’s history, it offers a felt experience of our place within it. https://www.deeptimewalk.org/

On April 25, we will gather at Yeouido Park for a guided Deep Time Walk. This experience invites you to step out of everyday time and into deep time — to reconnect with the living Earth, and to rediscover your place within it.

This is not a lecture. It is a shared, embodied journey through time, space, and story. Deep Time Walk reminds us: We are not separate from nature — we are part of it. And once we truly feel that, something begins to shift.

In this journey, you will be guided by Soojin Kim in Korean exploring 4.6 billion years of Earth’s history.

Zoe is one of 12 coaches interviewed for the Coaching for a Regenerative World CCA Pioneers 12 x 12 series. Please watch her interview first before joining the session.

Zoe Cohen is a collapse aware coach, citizen, mother and activist. As a highly experienced board-level director, and Master Coach, she combines her two greatest passions: acting for social and ecological justice, on our one, shared planetary home; with enabling and encouraging people to shine and to take action.

Zoe’s understanding of the existential threat we’re facing, combined with her love for nature and desire for justice for the next generation, the global south and all non-human life, in the face of decades of political and business inaction, drove her to take direct action. She joined Extinction Rebellion (XR) in early 2019. Amongst her actions, in April 2021, she and six other women carefully cracked windows at Barclays Bank UK headquarters in Canary Wharf. Barclays were the biggest fossil fuel funder in Europe, and also major funders of habitat destruction and plastic production globally. Zoe took this action as an act of love and as a nonviolent intervention to send a message to the Board members on the top floor of that building.

She and her co-defendants were found “guilty” of “criminal damage” in late 2022 and sentenced in early 2023. Zoe was given a 7 month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

Zoe will join facilitators Fiona Anderson and Katarzyna Schubert-Panecka for a conversation about how she navigates coaching, activism and being alive to the mess we’re in.

She’ll share her core values – truth, love, compassion and justice – and how knowing that “the ship has already sailed” to stop catastrophic climate impacts drives her to open up space to talk about and to act on the great amount that can still be done.

The CCA Compassion Community of Practice (CCoP) invites you to a community gathering as part of the 2026 Community Festival.

Join us in presence and attunement for this 75-minute session including a guided compassion practice and deep listening/sharing circle, facilitated by Heather Monro and Mark McMordie.

The purpose of the Compassion Special Interest Pod is to provide a secular Compassion Community of Practice (CCoP) as a way of co-regulating and processing difficult emotions that arise within the Ecological Awareness Cycle. The CCoP serves as both an antidote to empathic distress fatigue and climate-related burnout in the coach, and their clients in turn, and also develops qualities beneficial to the coaching relationship and better coaching outcomes.

Inclusive and accessible to all.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Please join this upcoming Roundtable event offered by the SCC – Sustainability Coaching Coalition (there are 2 sessions, on 11th and 12th March 2026).

The event is hosted by SCC Representatives Eve Turner, Hetty Einzig and Uma Arora, and features panelists Linda Aspey and Alice Howard-Vyse (see biographies below). Linda and Alice will share about the Work that Reconnects (WtR), which helps to support and mobilise us to reconnect with what is really important, to face reality, and to reframe passive hope into active engagement during these troubling times. It was originally developed by inspirational eco-philosopher Joanna Macy in the late 1970s for activists, bringing together aspects of deep ecology, systems theory and Buddhism.

The Work is structured around the Spiral Journey, a framework that invites participants to explore their lived experience with honesty and care—acknowledging both gratitude and pain—while developing new perspectives and a deeper sense of connection. Rather than relying on passive optimism, Active Hope reframes hope as a practice: something we do, individually and collectively, through values-led choices and courageous conversations.

In this SCC Roundtable session, we invite you to experience WtR with a view to drawing on it as a framework, insight and set of resources you can use in your own client coaching work. It will also deepen our individual and collective capacity to work with climate related emotions, complexity and uncertainty, and strengthen our ability to journey together as a collaborative in these uncertain times.”

On Tuesday 17 February, as a solar eclipse becomes visible across southern Africa, the African chapter of the Climate Coaching Alliance will gather under a powerful celestial symbol of transition and transformation.

Across African cultures, eclipses have long been perceived as moments when normal order is suspended – times of prophecy, recalibration and deep listening. In this spirit, our online gathering will explore how climate coaches are called to work with polarities and paradoxes in an age when inherited paradigms dominate.

Whether juxtaposing ancient wisdom and cutting-edge technologies, individual agency and collective responsibility, hope and grief, masculine and feminine – climate coaching increasingly requires the capacity to hold complexity without collapsing into simplistic narratives or false solutions.

This session invites coaches into a reflective and relational space to explore how we can move beyond “either/or” thinking and cultivate a “both/and” approach that honours multiple truths, diverse worldviews and the deep interdependence of people, planet and future generations.

PLEASE NOTE: The annular eclipse will reach its peak at 12:13 UTC (2:13pm SAST) on Tues 17 Feb with a duration of just over two minutes. This is NOT a total eclipse, so at no time during this occurrence will it be safe to look at the sun without proper eye protection. Do not look directly at the sun or you could injure your eyes.
