Otto Scharmer has clarified the importance of islands of coherence and the CCA is already such a beautiful one. As a nested system, CCoP holds a particular intention within the CCA.

As highlighted on the CCoP webpage, the purpose of the Compassion Special Interest Pod is to provide a secular Compassion Community of Practice (CCoP) as a way of co-regulating and processing the various emotions that arise within the Ecological Awareness Cycle. The CCoP serves as both an antidote to empathic distress fatigue and climate-related burnout in the coach, and their clients in turn, and also develops qualities beneficial to the coaching relationship and better coaching outcomes.

In this second workshop we work with the experiences of imaginal cells, the strategies for survival they have and the behavioural mechanisms that support. We get a better sense of the type of butterfly we are becoming – the colours, unique patterns, how it feels to take our first flight and intimately the eggs we are laying for the next cycle to begin

This is a stand-alone workshop or part 2 of the whole journey from caterpillar to butterfly

However, the chrysalis is a time of deep transformation, of collapse and near total dissolution of the self, the caterpillar. How then does this lead to a butterfly life?

Join us in a personal journey of the being of butterfly, explore your caterpillar goals, identity and enter the chrysalis to let go, release what is no longer needed. Through this deep time, we identify our personal imaginal cells, the only surviving cells of the chrysalis that creates the butterfly as we metamorphosise

Join Dumi Magadlela, regenerative leadership and team coach, speaker and systems thinker, for a deeply reflective and transformative session as part of the “12 x 12 Research Project – Coaching for a Regenerative World”.

The session will be hosted by the CCA Africa chapter.

Drawing from indigenous African wisdom, the philosophy of Ubuntu and nature-based ways of knowing, Dumi invites us to reimagine leadership beyond extraction and performance, towards wholeness, interdependence and life-affirming systems.

This session will explore and share lessons such as:

·       Ubuntu and indigenous knowledge systems for navigating complexity and uncertainty,

·       How leaders can embody regeneration in organisations, communities and personal practice, and

·       Reconnecting and embracing who we are (part of nature) as a guide for humanising and regenerating genuine transformation in our world.

This is not just a nice-to-have conversation. It is a call to remember who we are, where we belong and how we can lead with humanity at heart in service of all life on the planet.

The session invites leaders to move beyond extraction toward connection, wholeness and life-affirming impact. This is a timely call to lead in service of people, planet and future generations!
