It is an irony that, while we have everything available to us at the click of a button in a time of accelerating digital connectivity, we have never been more isolated and disconnected before. In the pursuit of our individual aspirations we have ignored our innate equal desires for happiness and well-being; and have failed to grasp our fundamental sameness, interdependence and interconnectivity at the emotional level.

This has led to a lack of oneness and connectedness with oneself, others and the rest of the world. For the sake of our individual as well as collective advancement we need a bolstering of empathy, compassion, tolerance, justness and activation of higher frequencies in self and others, towards a thriving and regenerative world. This can only be achieved by putting life at the centre of our activities and revitalizing it with our individual and collective actions.

Key Takeaways :

Expand awareness of self as coach in finding themselves on the Conscious Self Responsibility journey.

Relate to the importance of conscious work towards being significant in paving way for success.

Understand the need of continuous exploration, reflection and navigation of self in relation to the challenges of the real world.

Without facing and resolving our own emotional traumas, we will most likely replicate the world we live in now. As changemakers, we must face our traumas to make ourselves ready for a new way of co-existing on this planet. And through understanding, awareness and two relatively simple processes, we can support our clients to embrace and release their traumas.

This is the body of work that Sarah Peyton has brought together from contributions from Nonviolent Communication, Steven Porges, Ruth Lanius and many more, and I’ve brought it into a coaching format. If I am chosen as keynote speaker, I will speak, do a demo, and engage the audience through breakout group engagement so that they get a lived experience of what I am talking about. If I will be offering this as a workshop, it will be same model but more space for personal interaction and involvement.

Whether you are just thinking about getting involved in climate concerns or a long-time activist, this session is a tonic for our troubled times. Shift from dread and despair about climate change to meaningful action to make a difference now and for generations to come. Discover an approach employing neuroscience, psychology, and successful coaching experiences that turns traditional wisdom about climate action on its head. Instead of pushing people to take prescribed actions, it attracts them by helping them identify what they love to do. Then, it guides them to find the climate needs they’d like to address.

The match up of what you love to do and where you want to make a difference defines your “climate sweet spots.” When you follow your sweet spots, you will be on a path to make a meaningful and personally rewarding difference. This attraction model taps self-motivation to sustain efforts for a healthy climate. As we—you, us, our family members, friends, co-workers, clients, and community members engage, we will mobilize the support necessary to turn awareness into actions and advocacy for a healthy planet.

You’ll see how being climate action catalysts for one another will ease our efforts and multiply the value we create. Experience the balance of a clear framework and flexibility of application for use across the diverse CCA community.

Benefit from Don Maruska’s experience as a successful entrepreneur, business coach, climate solver, and author of the new book “Solve Climate Change Now: Do What You Love for a Healthy Planet.”

Connect with Andy Miller who’s at the leading edge of engaging people in critically important conversations that unlock them from fear and free them to live into the challenges with gusto. Enjoy fresh ideas and real-life stories that will stimulate your thinking and encourage you on your journey.

Climate coaches have shared comments about this approach like: “This is easy and fun to do.” “Thanks for giving a straightforward and tangible set of tools.” “I’m a new coach, and now I can visualize myself engaging clients about climate with confidence.” We invite you to experience this yourself.

This event is the fourth in a series of Roundtables co-hosted by pairs of signatories to the Joint Global Statement on Climate Change. The group is known as the JGSG – Joint Global Statement Group. We have created a dedicated JGSG website to reflect the focus of our global collaboration.

The purpose of the Roundtables is to provide a forum for coaches to explore information, views, trends, concerns, and hopes regarding the huge and complex challenges we face around climate change, biodiversity loss, and the attendant social and economic disruption – and the implications for their practice and for coaching as a profession.

The provocative question we are holding for our Roundtable on Ethics is: should we be thinking the unthinkable?

The ethical codes we live by are often unconscious, part of the culture we have been brought up in. Given the huge global challenges we face and the widespread contesting of the narratives of Empire and Neoliberalism, it is right that we should examine our coaching and leadership ethics also. As professional coaching bodies, we can hold the space for just such an exploratory dialogue.

The dominator leadership and business models of the West are intrinsically extractive and have proven to be ultimately destructive. In our complex and damaged world, this is no longer viable. In the context of activism around the climate crisis, we think it important to confront some of the myths of ’traditional’ coaching – for example, we must always follow the client’s agenda – and to also highlight alternative narratives and leadership models. This is reflected in our choice of speakers from both the global north and south.

This roundtable event will give you the opportunity to:-

1. hear from renowned coaches on what activism means to them – and how coaching is truly a space to raise awareness and responsibility

2. consider new narratives for coaching, leadership, and living in more eco-systemic ways on our planet

3. be provoked into re-considering some of the ‘myths’ around what coaching is – and explore what it could be

I recently embarked on writing my first book – “Gratitude on Country; a cry for a simpler life”

To quote Kaurna Aboriginal Elder’ Uncle Lewis Yarlupurka O’Brien who I am grateful for his time with my manuscript, and our talks and yarning about – Muka-Muka – ‘to mirror what we see’ and emerge into an ecological literacy world. When we understand First People and language we begin to appreciate ‘country’ and the value of connecting to country.

How we see, feel, and listen to Earth and all she is; Craig will share his walk in the two worlds inspiring people to see the wisdom in sovereign systems, and structures and finding deep adaptation into the rhythm of the earth for business, family, and people to move into more virtues – Gratitude of Country.

Exploring Australia’s call for a Referendum and voice to the Federal Parliament of Australia, with much political uncertainty about what will this voice mean in the Governments constitution. How does Climate Coaching and a country that is seen as the Heart of our mother- Earth? Understanding Sovereignty of Earth and the Sovereign Self – a Country that is breaking into a new identity as a Sovereign Nation. The world needs this story to unfold for which Craig will begin to explore this over the 90-minute workshop.

Three Key learning outcomes from the Presentation :

Redefining economics and seeking the middle way in how to live on earth.

Exploring the concept of an Avatar for sovereign people in how we draw closer relationships between western values and first people/values.
