Seven Generation Practice to Widen our Awareness

This workshop is drawn from the Work That Reconnects, based on the teachings of deep ecologist Joanna Macy.

After check-in and a short introduction to the general framework, I will set a role-play and assign different roles.

Participants will be invited to imagine having a conversation with future humans from seven generations ahead in break-out rooms. To help them, they will have written prompts in the chat.

Afterwards, we will have a collective debrief of the experience. The whole session should last 90 minutes.

The purpose is to widen their awareness, unlock the variety of responses, offer a deeper sense of responsibility, and to strengthen their motivation. By exercising our imagination, we see more easily the bigger picture and move forward with purpose and energy.

By realizing that we are intimately connected with each other and with all living beings across time and space, we are more determined to act on behalf of all life.

Climate change coaches and practitioners might be inspired to tap more into their playfulness, creativity, and non-cognitive skills in their work.

Presenter(s) Bio

As a Purpose coach and facilitator, I help people widen their perspectives, unlock their gifts, work with resistance, and find the support to pursue what matters the most. I adapt to each person/group and tap into creative tools such as somatics, dialogue with inner parts, deep imagination.

After 20 years working as an engineer and five years as an environmental activist, it took me a couple of years to start the transition towards my life purpose. I am committed to work on the inner crisis at the root of Climate Change, the disconnection from our true nature and love for Nature, and our deep desire to bequeath a livable planet for future generations.
