International Women’s Day. Celebrate with Love. Grieve for Gaia; Nature; Ukraine; Loved Ones Lost

On this International Women’s Day we celebrate both life and death, those who we love and those who have travelled on.

In this gathering we will honor our grief, for loved ones, for the planet, for those fleeing Ukraine.

We will adapt the practice of keening which allows us to bring our grief into sacredness and honor it through music, voice and movement.

Inspired by the tradition of clooties, leaving heartfelt requests by a sacred well dedicated to local deities, you’ll be invited to use these strips as a way to honor Alison, or to hold messages to loved ones, or to carry requests for what you most wish to happen in the world. Please bring a small rectangle of cloth (preferably cotton and not plastic based)

Please also bring a journal and pen for an opportunity to write a love letter.
