What is Climate Coaching for Indonesia ?
Climate change in Indonesia leads to coastal ecosystem destruction, decrease in water availability, changes in crop productivity, and the loss of biodiversity. It also has an impact on health, mortality, food security, migration patterns, the natural ecosystem and economic prosperity, both at the local and national level. The Government of Indonesia has committed to ambitious green house gases emissions reduction target and is implementing a comprehensive nationwide response to climate change. The role of non-state actors to accelerate actions to build concrete, ambitious and lasting cooperative initiatives are also recognized.
To celebrate “Climate Coaching Alliance – Global Festival 2022,” The Climate Reality Project Indonesia is organizing several events and activities, to explore “What is Climate Coaching for Indonesia.” through:
· Instagram Live Chats on Climate Coaching
· An op-ed for an online media
· A series of less than a minute video clips, on various climate change topics, to be posted on Instagram @climaterealityina as information materials for the public, and climate change activists, including coaches.
All events will be in Bahasa Indonesia, and information and announcements will be available at Climate Reality Indonesia’s Instagram handle @climaterealityina

Amanda Katili Niode, the Director of The Climate Reality Project Indonesia, is a certified Executive Coach, Trainer, Mentor, Speaker, and Writer, specializing in Environmental Management, Climate Actions and Sustainability Practices for a Better Earth. She is a Climate Reality Leader, trained by former US Vice President Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project to mainstream the climate crisis, its solutions and actions. Amanda is a member of the Climate Coaching Alliance, the International Coaching Federation and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. She is also a founding member of the International Environmental Communication Association. Amanda previously held a position as the Special Assistant to the Minister for Environment and the Head of the Expert Team of the President’s Special Envoy for Climate Change. She was a researcher at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology, and a lecturer at The University of Indonesia School of Environmental Sciences. Amanda Katili Niode is on the Board of a number of national and international civil society organizations and a Commissioner at the The Global Commission on Evidence to Address Societal Challenges.
