Climate Coaching for Climate Action by Scouts Movement – Indonesian Experience

840 840 people viewed this event.

Indonesia is an archipelagic country facing site specific climate issues including disasters in many areas of the country.

The Indonesian Scout Movement (Pramuka) with more than 25 million members, is a perfect partner to mainstream the science, the impact, the solution, and the action to address the climate crisis. Although environment and climate change have been in the Pramuka programs, climate coaching will help strengthen climate actions, especially among Pramuka youth and adult members.

This session will share the presenters’ experience in working with Indonesian Scout Movement on climate awareness and actions, including coaching, facilitating, and mentoring. Through CCA Global Festival we also hope to gain some insights and potential partners to enhance our work, including through international cooperation, especially at the World Scout Jamboree to be attended by 14,000 people, to be held on August 1-12 in South Korea.
