This November 28th, Carbon Conversations Toronto is hosting a Climate Cafe with an intergenerational theme, where people concerned about climate crisis and related issues share feelings and thoughts. CCTO has been hosting monthly Climate Cafes since October 2022.

What is an Intergenerational Climate Café?

An intergenerational climate café is a gathering where people of different ages come together to discuss their feelings and concerns about climate change. These discussions can encompass a wide range of topics, from the challenges of communicating with older generations about climate change to worries about the future of younger generations in a changing climate.

These cafés aim to promote understanding, empathy, and collaboration among generations to address climate change, fostering intergenerational learning, support, and hope on climate-related issues.

A Climate Cafe is not a space for planning climate action or discussing climate policy. While these actions are very important, they are not the focus of our Climate Cafes. We do this because sharing feelings in a supportive setting helps to build our resilience during this confusing and difficult time.
