In 1972, the Limits to Growth study initiated sustainable practices. Gradually, planetary tipping points have been surpassed and now it seems necessary to combine our efforts towards being sustainable with those for overcoming eco-anxiety. Although the term “eco-anxiety” was coined in 1997, its usage was limited until 2021. Over the next year, however, its usage grew from 412 mentions to 1,802 mentions in six thousand European publications.

Given that 2023 was the hottest historic year, that 2024 is predicted to be hotter,  that climate coaching can help lead the way to human happiness in the mid-twenty-first century, and that the hundreds of thousands of people currently desiring help with this matter will very likely grow to be millions in the next five years, what is the simplest concrete solution to this problem that can be easily taught to multitudes of people?

So far, coaching at the corporate level has had limited success. It seems unreasonable to hope that COP29 will solve the problems that all of the other COP meetings failed to come to grips with. Can a turn towards coaching at the individual level help us now?

Join us for a discussion of the best practices that can bring about fruitful change.
