The sustainability agenda is incomplete without an adequate appreciation of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Those most impacted by the climate crisis, social inequities, financial divides and technological disruption are not always the ones in the decision-making seats. To create meaningful, transformational and sustainable change, all of us have to build relationships across different identities, locations (geographical and social), and ways of interacting with the world. For coaches to spark this realization in the leaders they work with, it is important to approach coaching with an appreciation for interdependence, inclusivity and intersectionality.

In this session, leadership and DEI consultants from YSC (part of Accenture) will work with participants in workshop mode, to achieve the following objectives:

• An understanding of a model of inclusive leadership that has been validated and found to have impact around the world: the 3 Cs of curiosity, courage and connection

• A practical application of the 3 Cs to a live coaching challenge

• A vision for leading for sustainability where an appreciation of DEI is intertwined with the ESG agenda
