Opportunities and challenges to raise awareness and effect wider change in large scale leadership development programs

We are at a point of convergence between the wider needs of our planet and societies and the needs of organisations and their people. Just as the world requires us to find system-changing solutions, organisations are looking to build leadership capability to tackle the novel and complex challenges that their stakeholders demand of them.

Traditional models of knowledge transfer are insufficient for this purpose. Instead, what is required is the building of strong connections within and beyond the organisation and bringing real and complex challenges into that community to learn and effect change through collaboration and experimentation.

I would like to share my experiences of working on large-scale development programmes and two particular features that are helping build more connected, aware communities: Peer Coaching – creating a safe space between participants that enables powerful dialogue and builds connection. Bringing the problem to the programme – tackling the real challenges that people, organisations and society are facing.
