Theory U offers the opportunity to facilitate inquiry and community-based learning for individuals and groups around shared, meaningful questions. It supports better eco-systemic awareness that can mitigate some of the narrow, linear processing such as cab be seen expressed in carbon-offsetting projects – that too often end up diminishing bio-diversity and impoverishing soil health, and may therefore be degenerative in their impacts on land and communities, rather than regenerative. Combining action-research methodology, design thinking as well as approaches which support deep listening to the needs of the wider system through the portals of Open Mind, Open Heart and Open Will, Theory U can help to bring together the inner and outer dimensions of change, and amplifying ecosystems intelligence.

This sessions will share some practical examples of using Theory U in sustainability leadership and organisation-wide change, as well as pointers about how to integrate in 121 coaching as an approach to contracting and agreeing process to enable clients to explore life purpose through a wider, systemic lens.
