THIS CIRLCE HAS NO SIDES: Your Coaching Toolkit Just Got a Superpower (60 Minutes, Zero Boring)

Hey CCA Community,

Quick question: what do you say to Uncle Denier at Thanksgiving when he starts in on “climate’s always changed”?

If your answer is a nervous laugh and a plate refill, this workshop’s for you.

Ground. Story. Speak. A TEDx-Style Climate Communications Hour

In 60 fast, fun, genuinely useful minutes, you’ll walk away with:This isn’t a lecture. It’s interactive, it’s quick, and it’s built for coaches who want tools they’ll actually use.

Event description:
For Climate Coaching Alliance coaches, built like a TEDx play space, not a lecture. Attendees ground briefly with an Inner Resonance practice, then move through a Learn-Do-Share cycles:

~ A 90-second grounding practice you can use with any client, any session, any moment things get heavy
~ The bones of your 60-second climate story that actually moves a room (not just informs it, moves it)
~ Your very own comeback listens for Uncle Denier, tested and Thanksgiving-approved
~ A structured 1-minute TEDx-style talk, built live, by you, in the room.                                                                                                                                    ~ The session moves to with the “Next Best Thing to Be/Do/Have.”                                                                                                                                           ~ We close briefly referencing the Climate Coaching Alliance’s 12×12 research project with FIREWORKS, a current finalist for the 2026 International Coaches Federation Social Impact Emerging Catalyst Award.

Outcomes:
By the end of this hour, attendees leave with three usable tools, not just inspiration:

  • a 90-second grounding practice they can run before any hard climate conversation;
  • a repeatable-in-sixty-seconds-flat-story structure they can teach a client to move a family, team, or board; and
  • a “Denier Judo” technique for reaching climate skeptics without requiring them to already believe in climate change.

Underneath those three tools is the bigger promise, coaches leave able to widen who they serve, not just how they feel about serving them, with each tool framed as a billable offer they can use the same week. For those considering CCA membership, the session also offers firsthand proof that CCA’s coaching methods are backed by real research, via the 12×12 project’s status as a 2026 International Coaches Federation Social Impact Emerging Catalyst Award finalist. Several more reseach projects are currently underway.

Why now: Every coach needs a climate story. This is the hour you find or refine yours.

Takes 30 seconds, less time than it took Uncle Denier to say “well actually.”

Presenter(s) Bio

Kat Haber lives at the intersection of courage, curiosity, and what she calls "humaning better each day." At 2, her family home and hotel burnt to the ground. She shook and woke her mom up yelling panicked, "Moke, 'Moke!

Former Olympic level freestyle skiing aerialist. One of America's first female United States Air Force Academy cadets. The great-grandmother who drove 15,000 miles across America in a red Tesla named Rouge to prove that range anxiety with preparation is easily managed.

Kat is Founder of TRUST Climate Action Strategists, where she coaches terrified, exhausted, secretly-hopeful humans to stop doom-scrolling and start actually doing something. She witnessed a glacier disappear from her bedroom window in Alaska for 30 years. She coaches climate-concerned global citizens to activate teams, scale impact, and embrace a "fun and done" mindset for climate-responsive living. She coined the term "economology,"  the place where economy and ecology stop fighting and start dancing, and she means it literally.

That glacier ghosted her. She took it personally. Now it's your problem too, in the best possible way.

She may make you laugh, make you think, and make you slightly ashamed of your carbon footprint while somehow feeling completely loved about it.

As Founding Organizer of TEDxVail, Kat has produced and coached 800+ Talks with more than 3 million views, and taken TEDx from a Colorado mountain town to global stages including Sydney, Edinburgh, Doha, Mexico City, and beyond. Her TEDxSydney 2020 sketchnote asks the question she asks everywhere: How do we restore life with all our relations? Her answer: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Reimagine. Regenerate. Respect. Refuse. Remember. (She has a lot of R's. She earned them.)

A Charter and multi-term President of the WE Rotary Club of International Peace, District 5000, Hawaiʻi, Kat helped build a global peace fellowship from scratch, planting Heiwa Hiroshima Survivor peace trees, connecting Peace Fellows worldwide, and hosting biweekly meetings from rest stops while simultaneously driving across the country. Multitasking at what she calls "Olympic levels."

As a Digital Empowerment Ambassador with World Pulse, she has mentored global women writers, climate coached award-winning storytellers across dozens of countries, and written in her own gloriously unhinged, deeply sincere voice about what it's like to watch a glacier ghost you from her bedroom window in Homer, Alaska.

For 20 years as a Board Director of the WILD Foundation, she has championed the wild spaces that sustain us all, creating youth delegation programs, leading wilderness training, and showing up for the planet with the same fierce consistency she brings to everything else.

She walked from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. in the 2014 Great March for Climate Action. She presented original 12 X 12 Climate Coaching research at the International Coaches Federation global conference in San Diego, October '25. She has mentored youth from Denver to Kyiv. She made her 8th grade dress from a cream satin slip and lace curtains, and she wants you to know that thrift stores are a climate strategy, not a sacrifice.

She is mom to McKenzy, Mercedes, and Oni. Gramma to Will, Jay, Finn, and Theo. Great-gramma to Juke and Jax. And she will tell you, without hesitation, that their faces are why the urgency is real and raw.

Her mantra: Plugged IN, Charged UP across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and World Pulse, sharing the miles, the ribbons, the glacier rocks, and the occasional Tesla charging station, when she's not fully charged from home.

Plugged IN, Charged UP! Irresistibly on fire, metaphorically, this time. Rooted now in Waikoloa, Hawaiʻi, Kat carries deep respect for Hawaiian wisdom, for the sacred relationship between people, plants, animals, water, land, and air, past, present, and future.

E hōkūmalu ka ma ka ma Honua. May Peace Prevail on Earth.
