In this conversation, Dumi Magadlela will share insights into Ubuntu wisdom and culture and selected Ubuntu Intelligence (UbuQ) practices. Dumi will invite us to open up to deepening our understanding and awareness of how profoundly important these principles and values are in becoming a humane being adding value to our collective and intricately interconnected co-existence. He will touch on the value of coaching with Ubuntu intelligence in general, and how this informs and enriches any conversation on coaching for climate action, in particular.

Dumi is an ICF credentialled coach with over 25 years of people development experience. He cofounded the Ubuntu Coaching Foundation (UCF) at The Coaching Centre (TCC) in South Africa with Dr Paddy Pampallis, which promotes and facilitates access to coaching in communities that would otherwise not afford coaching serves, let alone understand the role and value of coaching. At the Coaching Centre (TCC) Dumi has been Senior Faculty for over 16 years, delivering a module on “Coaching in the African Context” or on “African Wisdom in Coaching'' every year. Dumi is also core Faculty in other coaching schools, including at the Global Team Coaching Institute (GTCI). He believes in rehumanising shared spaces, such as our planet!

Recordings: While you are free to record the event you must select Yes to the question in the event registration form “Is this event being recorded?“. If the decision to record the event is taken after your event has been approved and posted, you must advise all participants at the beginning of your event that it is being recorded. Further, whether or not you record the event yourself as the host and in keeping with restrictions the CCA applies to all those who register to attend your event, you must take reasonable measures to ensure that participants do not record your event, either directly or using any other means including agents and bots.
