Come gather round the kitchen table and let us commune together. How might we create transformation and renewal in the world of coaching and its related eco-systems in these critical times? We warmly invite you to join us in a lightly held series of depth conversations!

WHAT / HOW / WHEN

–       A series of three practical, interactive Kitchen Table conversations of 90 mins each, with the possibility to engage in Live Field Enquiry in smaller co-learning groups in the future.

Dates  2025: 5 Feb 1700-1830 GMT, 26 Feb 1700-1830 GMT, 19 March 1830-2000 GMT (note different time!)

–       We (Jonas Wells , Stuart Pickles , Zarine Jacob ) are your co-hosts and your co-(un)learners.

EMERGING THEMES

– Eldering: what does this look like in our work? Let’s explore how we as elders, as coaches & co-learners are already transforming our ways of becoming, our practice and our professions in these VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) times.

– Composting: what needs to be composted in ourselves, in our practice and the systems we are entangled in? What facilitates cultural disruption and regeneration?

– Cultural Humility: how are we cultivating creative improvisation in our dancing with the entanglements of ‘whiteness’ through our practice? What’s our relationship with social justice, indigeneity etc, and what’s its relevance in coaching? Who do we allow ourselves to become?

WHY

The back story is that we have been engaged in good conversations with each other and in various wonderful networks over time. Our understandings have deepened. Things have been brewing and cooking, and now we offer you an experimental dish. Come eat with us!

We have been influenced by practitioners like Vanessa Andreotti and the Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures Collective, Bayo Akomolafe , Nora Bateson and many others. We believe coaching can bring good medicine in our fragmented world, and we’re curious about what a version of decolonial practice might look like.

Let’s be conveners and agents of practical and embodied learning together, going beyond the limitations of language & separability, critically examining some received wisdoms, taking responsibility and being held accountable with love and care for all of life.

WHO

We invite coaches & those engaged in learning and development who want to bring greater depth and rigour to our entanglements with modernity and the polycrisis.

We welcome your enquiries and coaching curiosities, and what’s already working for you, however slight. Bring your longings and best hopes for these troubled times.

This is an inquiry, not a course. There is no fee. Set down your tools, rest a while. Next steps will emerge as we go. We look forward to your company on the journey. Join for one or all three sessions. We welcome you!
