Launch of the Sustainability Coaching Coalition (SCC)- what does this mean for the CCA and the coaching profession?
A major milestone for the CCA and the coaching profession … 13 professional bodies united in shared commitment to climate consciousness and action
The formation and launch of the SCC (formerly known as the Global Joint Statement Group, JGSG) represents a new and significantly strengthened shared commitment of all the major coaching bodies, to the elevation of climate and ecological conscious awareness and action by the coaching profession and all coaches across the world.
To find out all about this major milestone for the coaching profession, attend one of 4 events scheduled to mark the launch of the SCC for members of all the 13 coaching bodies: Aug 13/14 and 8/9 Sept.
And then join this dedicated CCA event on Sept 11th to reflect on what you have heard and explore what this means for the CCA and the coaching profession. What does it mean for us as individual coaches to know the profession is making these bold moves, and what are the next steps in taking the impact of this to the next level now?
Join a panel of representatives of the SCC (panelists tbc) who will discuss these questions, and share more of the story of how the group has expanded its scope, and how they see the way forward for our profession in terms of addressing the global sustainability needs of people and planet.
Context:
The CCA was formed nearly 6 years ago to raise climate consciousness of coaches and the coaching profession and enable agency and impact. Around the same time a Joint Global Statement (JGS) on this was signed by (eventually) 13 of the main coaching and related professional bodies. The “JGSG” (JGS Group) has been working together over the last 5 years to “bring these aims this to life”, and have reached a major new milestone now in relaunching as the “SCC – Sustainability Coaching Coalition”, with a significantly updated and strengthened Joint Global Statement and purpose driven and active agenda moving forward. This is a major step forward and milestone in the evolution of the coaching profession in relation to climate consciousness and action.
